Thanks to the efforts by the province in coordinating with the local functional agencies in propaganda work to raise public awareness of electricity saving while taking electricity-saving measures in business administration, the province’s power output saved in the first nine months of 2013 was estimated at more than 129.59 million kWh or 97.17% of the year’s plan with 2.78% of commercial electricity saving.
Of the total, electricity saving from public lighting reached more than 6.27million kWh; households and business sector saved more than 32.5 million kWh; manufacturing enterprises saved more than 86.07 million kWh; state agencies and body saved more than 4.73 million kWh.
For 2013’s plan on electricity saving well realized, provincial Department of Industry and Trade has suggested provincial People’s Committee to conduct sectors and departments in the province to seriously implement the Joint Circular No.111 of Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry and Trade guiding the implementation of electricity saving in state-owned agencies, public administrative units while boosting administrative punishments relating the efficient and economical use of energy under the Government’s Decree.
