Tran Van Nam, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, on Sept.14, had a working session with provincial Department of Agricultural and Rural Development on implementation of hi tech-based agricultural production projects in the province.
As of August 2012, Binh Duong’s urban agriculture and high tech-based agriculture has achieved positive results with the average productivity of various plants reaching 33 tons/ha/year, 5.5 times higher than the province’s average productivity. The province has also formed up a high tech-based animal husbandry zone in the northern region.
The province has so far built four hi-tech agricultural parks with 991.4 hectares in total. Many high tech-based agricultural production projects have also been implemented with positive results.
Addressing the session, Mr.Nam suggested provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to further make more investment in researching and promoting high tech-based agricultural production projects…
