Provincial Chair receives Amcham delegates in Vietnam

Chair of People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung had a meeting with delegates of AmCham Vietnam where he stated some advantages and great opportunities for Binh Duong once Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) was signed. In addition, the delegates toured and had a look on facilities and production conditions in Binh Duong Province as well as the energy stabilization matters.President of AmCham Vietnam, Mr. Mark Gillin informed that the TPP, once signed, should enable 30-40 % of materials of textile and shoe-making to reduce in prices as a response to reduction of importing and exporting taxes.The window reduction was thanks to diversion of investment from China to Vietnam. As the matter of fact, Binh Duong in particular and Vietnam as the whole was more confident to receive larger investment from nations.At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Cung introduced some strengths of infra-constructions and human resources of Binh Duong, particularly the model of industry-service-urban.By perceiving the great opportunities brought about by TPP, Binh Duong has been well-prepared for forces and human to receive investments into auxiliary, textile, and shoe-making industries.Mr. Le Thanh Cung stressed on the welcome of Binh Duong Province regarding the willingness of AmCham Vietnam while calling for help to facilitate investment luring from United States of America and the Europe.On September 20, delegates of AmCham Vietnam had a working session with Becamex Corporation and visited industrial infra-constructions of Binh Duong Province.Reported by Khanh Vinh – Translated by Vi Bao
