Early March 14, provincial Consumers Protection Association held a ceremony to mark the Vietnamese Consumers Rights Day (March 15) and receive the third-class Labor Medal (photo)

At the ceremony, Nguyen Van Danh, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) said that since its inception of 2002, the association has made efforts and gained considerable achievements in many aspects. So far, the association has had a total of 16,998 members. The association has also strengthened dissemination of information about the Law on Protection of Customers’ Rights and Interests and the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”; well realized coordination with functional agencies in inspection work; opportunely handled thousands of cases with VND300-VND400billion collected and paid for State budget annually; excelled at dealing with complaints by customers…
On this occasion, the association was awarded the third-class Labor Medal of the State President. Nguyen Van Ban, Chairman of the association also received the certificate of merit of the Prime Minister. Many individuals and collectives were also awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee and the association for their excellent performance last year.
