Provincial Customs Department continues supporting enterprises to shorten customs clearance time

Early January 5, provincial Customs Department held a conference to review its activities in 2021, deploy tasks and plans for 2022.

In 2021, the sector faced many difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic. However, with the determination and best efforts to realize the "dual goals" of effectively preventing, controlling Covid-19 while ensuring fast and safe clearance of goods for enterprises, provincial Customs Department achieved and exceeded most of the assigned tasks and targets. In 2021, more than 6,839 enterprises participated in making customs procedures with a total of more than 1.8 million declarations. Total import and export turnover reached more than US$60.2 billion, up 14.32% over the same period in 2020. Noticeably, as of late October, 2021, provincial Customs Department excellently completed solutions on State budget collection. As of December 31, 2021, the unit’s total State budget revenue was more than VND19.4trillion, an increase of 25.17% over the same period in 2020, or 121.3 % of the target compared to the plan assigned by the Ministry of Finance and provincial People's Council.

In 2022, provincial Customs Department will strive to achieve and exceed VND 17.8 trillion in total State budget revenue. In order to complete tasks in 2022, the Department will further support enterprises to promptly handle problems in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, drastically implement solutions on State budget collection; continue shortening customs clearance time, reducing costs for enterprises...
