Provincial Customs Department makes efforts to fulfill 2013’s plan

In the current difficult context, provincial Customs Department has still determined to fulfill its 2013 target of State budget collection that is 30% higher than that of 2012.

Making efforts to overcome difficulties

Despite economy facing difficulties, provincial Customs Department’s State budget collection as of September 15 reached more than VND6.99trillion, or 74% of the plan under the Ministry of Finance and 69.92% of the plan under the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

  The figure is 35% higher than that of the corresponding period of last year. This is also a positive sign, showing economic recovery of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular. The business community in Binh Duong has also made efforts in production and business, greatly contributing to the evolution.

With the above result, Binh Duong has continued being an attractive destination for investors with favorable investment climate together with open mechanism. Provincial Customs Department has also always paid attention to helping enterprises remove their legitimate difficulties for better development.

Nguyen Van Minh, Head of Song Than Industrial Park Customs Sub-department said:”…We need to bring into full play “inner-force” while taking advantage of “external force” to complete our 2013 task of State budget collection. Also according to him, “inner-force” is the business community that now operates in Binh Duong. Provincial Customs Department has taken initiative in cooperating with provincial Industrial Parks Management Board and leaders of province-based industries’ associations to visit and learn about enterprises’ operations for timely support. “External force” is to share efforts in creating a favorable investment climate to absorb more enterprises making investment in Binh Duong for developing together…

Measures taken in a synchronous way

To fulfill 2013’s target for the rest of the year, provincial Customs Department has further taken initiative in reforming administrative procedures, speeding law dissemination and providing enterprises with timely support. This will help win enterprises’ faith and absorb more enterprises making customs procedures at provincial Customs Department.

Provincial Customs Department has also set a target of reducing the ratio of overdue debt to below 1% of total tax collection. With the target, provincial Customs Department has taken measures, comprising of further rechecking arrears of enterprises that have temporarily halted operation or stopped operation for timely solutions…

Nguyen Van Minh, Head of Song Than Industrial Park Customs Sub-department said that the Sub-department’s 2013 target of State collection has raised to VND2.503trillion from VND2.243trillion. This is a very hard task for the Sub-department in the face of the prolonged economic downturn.

To fulfill the task, Song Than Industrial Park Customs Sub-department has teamed up with relevant agencies to take measures, including cooperating with provincial Industrial Parks Management Board to know about enterprises’ operations for timely support; further reforming and computerizing customs procedures, helping enterprises save time and money…Till now, the Sub-department’s State budget collection has reached more than VND1.9trillion or 85% of the projection.

With the above result, Song Than Industrial Park Customs Sub-department is likely to complete its 2013 task of State budget collection. This also showed that economy of Binh Duong in particular and Vietnam in general has been rebounding…
