In 2016, provincial Department of Statistics also fulfilled a task of composing and publishing year books with amble content and form. The Department also composed and published printed matters “Binh Duong-20 years of construction and development”, leaflets “Crucial statistics from 1997 to 2017” to mark the 20th anniversary of the local development.
Ngo Van Mit, Head of provincial Department of Statistics said that his unit last year completed two important tasks, including general surveys on enterprises, agricultural and rural areas. They were fulfilled on schedule and highly appreciated by the central authority. In 2017, one of the Department’s major tasks is to carry out a general survey on economy under the Prime Minister’s Decision No.1672/QD-TTg dated August 26, 2016. Effective IT application
In 2017, the sector will continue ensuring supply of periodical and unexpected socio-economic information to serve the instruction and management of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee; assure the local statistics activities that will be realized in accordance with the law…
The Department will also further execute a scheme on renewing the process of composing GRDP figures, recheck official GRDP figures in the last six months of 2016 and in the first half of 2017…Especially, the Department will boost IT application into statistics activities.
So far, the Department has set up a LAN system, including 1 serve and 42 clients, connected with the General Statistics Office via a specialized line…Accelerating IT application is a major and regular task of the sector at organizations and individuals’ needs.
