Provincial Environmental Protection Fund examines loan use of environmental protection projects

 

Provincial Environmental Protection Fund examined the use of loans at preferential interest rates, the management and use of collaterals and financial issues of 23 projects/15 borrowers of the fund under the inspection plan after 2018 disbursement.

The inspection showed that funded environmental protection projects were mainly construction of waste water treatment system, conversion of waste collection and transportation means, construction of gas and dust treatment system... The fund was used for right purposes by enterprises, security assets were preserved and used properly, and strictly complied with terms in credit contracts, mortgage contracts signed with the fund. This activity helped the fund to manage well debts, prevent bad debts.

Since its establishment, Provincial Environmental Protection Fund has signed credit contracts with 67 projects of 39 enterprises with the total amount of VND237 billion. From 2016, the fund has signed credit contracts with 23 projects of 22 enterprises with the total loans of VND127 billion. This fund has helped businesses to boldly invest in environmental protection activities. Therefore, the fund will continue to enhance lending activities so that preferential loans will be more and more accessible to enterprises operating environmental protection activities in the province.
