Provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have always upheld their key role in the emulation movements among farmers, greatly contributing to the local program on new rural construction.
Emulation movements promoted
Since early this
year, provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have launched the
emulation movement of “good farmer in production and business” among the local farmers.
There have been 17,480 farming households registering to implement the
emulation movement. Provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have also
mobilized VND454.7mln from many different sources, considered and provided 846
farming households with over VND3.4bln in loan. Provincial branch of the Bank for Social Policies
disbursed more than VND15.4bln in loan for 1,533 farming households. More than
VND4.6bln in loan from many other sources was also disbursed for the local
farming households to develop homebased business.

Provincial Farmers’ Association has teamed up with relevant agencies and enterprises to open 453 training classes and 25 seminars on animal husbandry and cultivation techniques with the participation of 21,246 members. Provincial Farmers’Vocational Training and Support Services Center has also organized 8 classes on animal husbandry and cultivation for 298 members. Meanwhile, provincial Farmers’ Association and its affiliates have provided 317 members with trips to study a model of growing safe vegetables at Nhuan Duc safe vegetables cooperative in HCM city’s Cu Chi district, a model of breeding ornamental fish in Dau Tieng district’s Minh Hoa commune, a model of growing green-skin pomeloes in Ben Cat district….These trips have helped the local farmers get more stable in their production and business plans.
Participating in new rural construction
The province’s support programs on loan and sci-tech transfer…have contributed to improving the lives of the local farmers. From that point, the local farmers have actively got involved in rural infrastructure construction and socio-cultural development, national defence-security programs. Provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have mobilized members to upgrade 38.3km of rural roads, dredge 28,34 km of canals and collect waste on roads with 1,790 working days and more than VND86mln.
Provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have also further mobilized members to build up cultural households, well realize the movement of “The entire people take part in defending national security”, prevent social evils…, contributing to keeping political security, social order and safety. There have been 28,186 farming households registering for the title of “cultural household”. Provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels have jointly mobilized organizations and individuals to visit and present gifts to poor households, members and revolutionary veterans; teamed up with relevant agencies to provide free medical check-ups for members with difficulties…
Uphold achievements done, provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels will further promote the emulation movement of “Good farmer in production and business”; develop the local support fund for farmers; speed up sci-tech transfer in animal husbandry and cultivation for the local farmers; get involved in new rural construction; well realize the movement of “The entire people take part in defending national security”; prevent social evils…, contributing to reshaping the image of the province’s rural region.
