Over the past time, provincial Farmers Association strengthened capital disbursement for members from its Farmers Support Fund, helping them develop home based business and effectively replicate production models.

Provincial Farmers Support Fund upheld its efficiency and was of great significance for collective economic and home based models over the past time, thereby helping farmers effectively replicate models, contributing to shifting the local economic structure.

The fund also created advantageous conditions for farmers to apply sci-tech advancements in production; promoted the “good farmer in production and business” movement among them, generated jobs and improved their income.
The whole province has so far set up 324 cooperative groups upon the local Farmers Support Fund. Among them, models on growing ornamental plants, breeding eels…have reached a robust growth, bringing a stable source of income to farming households in the province.
Along with loan support, provincial Farmers Associations at all levels teamed up with relevant agencies to organize 966 training courses on sci-tech transfer, seminars…for 53,000 members, 93 training courses on loan management for 3,455 officials over the past 5 years.
During the period, provincial Farmers Associations at all levels considered and disbursed more than VND99.7bln in loan from many different sources for 9.731 farming households; realized 302 projects on animal husbandry, cultivation, services…As of Nov.30, 2015, they provided 12,145 farming households with more than VND109.31bln in loan.
Further improving operational efficiency
Over the past time, provincial Farmers Support Fund brought into full play its efficiency at farmers’ needs. The fund operated very transparently and publicly with constant development, successfully realizing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction and New Rural Construction. But, its activities still faced obstacles for change.
Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, Director of provincial Farmers Support Fund said that this is one of useful support tools for farmers to form up collective economic models, cooperative groups at real requirements of commercial agriculture in the new context.
For better results, provincial Farmers Association will give further training for fund management staff; instruct its affiliates to continue propagandizing and mobilizing members to make contributions to the fund; effectively develop models on cultivation and animal husbandry, widely multiply effective home based models…
Provincial Farmers Association has till now perfected a project on “Improving the operational effectiveness of local Farmers Support Fund in the period of 2016 and 2020”. The association is expecting the support of provincial People’s Committee to effectively implement the project.
