On December 6, as part of the activities on the sidelines of the official visit to Japan by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee visited and worked with Governor of Yamaguchi prefecture.
During the meeting, Chairman of provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh met and exchanged views with Governor Tsugumasa Muraoka of Yamaguchi prefecture. Both sides discussed and agreed on plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the friendly cooperation relationship between Binh Duong and Yamaguchi. They also agreed on the re-signing of a memorandum of understanding, reaffirming their commitment to continue cooperation and mutual support in the socio-economic development of both localities.
Over the past time, along with strengthening cooperation and exchanges between high-ranking delegations, the two sides enhanced collaboration in such fields as investment and trade promotion, student exchanges, healthcare and agriculture. During the meeting between Chairman of provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh and Chairman of Yamaguchi Prefecture Council Yanai Shungaku, both sides reaffirmed the signing of a friendship cooperation agreement between the councils of the two localities. They highlighted that mutual visits and exchanges of experience positively contributed to the development of electoral activities between the two localities
The 10th anniversary of the friendship cooperation between Binh Duong province and Yamaguchi prefecture is scheduled to take place on December 18, 2024, in Binh Duong. The event aims at evaluating and summarizing the activities of the cooperation relationship between the two localities and set orientations for specific collaborative activities in the future.
