On November 16, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received a delegation from Portland city’s Business Federation in the U.S, led by Metro President Tom Hughes.

At the reception, Mr.Tom Hughes expressed his delight at the fast and impressive development of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular. Most enterprises from Portland city that now operate in Binh Duong have felt very satisfactory with overall development policies of the province as well as the local attention and support for them. He also showed his special attention to Binh Duong’s plan on smart city development and wanted to have more opportunities to call for U.S enterprises to make investment in the province.
In response, Mr.Liem briefly informed the delegation of the province’s socio-economic development as well as investment attraction in 2015 and in the first 10 months of 2016. The U.S now ranks tenth among 49 countries and territories making investment in the province with 88 projects capitalized at US$741million. Some noticeable projects include P&G Company, Colgate Pamolive Company…
He also stressed that the province will further applaud investment projects in hi-tech industries from FDI enterprises, especially the U.S business community, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
