Provincial leader receives Giant Group

On the afternoon of February 28, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee received and worked with Tho,Tu-HSiu-Chen, Chairwoman of Giant Corporation (Taiwan); Chung Van Chinh, Chairman of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh city and a number of Taiwanese businesses at provincial Integrated Administration Center.

At the meeting

Mr. Danh expressed his delight when the group learnt about Binh Duong’s investment climate and prepared to invest in Binh Duong while informing the delegation of the local socio-economic development over the past time as well as the local policy of attracting investment towards high-tech industries that are less labor intensive and environmental protection. Currently, Binh Duong is one of localities with the system training the most skills in the country and always creates the most favorable conditions for enterprises to work.

Chairman of Giant Group said: “Giant is specialized in manufacturing various bicycles and their components. Giant Group has built a prestigious brand name in many countries around the world. Binh Duong is a province with great potential plus hard-working and enthusiastic workers. With its long-term development plan, the group will build a factory in accordance with the policy of the province, with 80% automated machines. The corporation's goal is to produce 1 million bicycles in the first year of operation". Ms.Tho, Tu-HSiu-Chen wanted the province to create favorable conditions for the group to soon complete investment procedures so that its factory will be put into operation...
