Early February 13, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with a delegation, led by Kim Jin Pyo, former Chairman of the National Assembly of South Korea and Chairman of the Global Innovation Research Institute. The delegation visited Binh Duong to explore investment cooperation opportunities and support the province in training high-quality human resources.

During the meeting, Mr. Minh expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation at the beginning of 2025 and reaffirmed the strong cooperative relationship between Vietnam and South Korea over the past years. He noted that South Korea currently ranks fifth among 65 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong, with 776 projects capitalized at US$3.45 billion.
Binh Duong has also established friendship with Daejeon city and Gangnam district in Seoul (South Korea). In recent years, exchange and cooperation activities between Binh Duong and South Korean localities have been vibrant and effective.
To support Binh Duong in advancing science, technology and innovation, provincial People’s Committee Chairman expressed his hope that South Korean research institutes, universities and enterprises will collaborate, share experience and assist in training high-quality human resources to meet the province’s growing development demands.
Mr. Kim Jin Pyo, Chairman of the Global Innovation Research Institute highly praised Binh Duong’s economic development in recent years, especially its double-digit growth target, positioning the province for a strong breakthrough in the new era. He also expressed his gratitude to the local authorities for dynamic, innovative efforts and continuous support in creating favorable conditions for South Korean businesses to thrive.
With extensive experience in high-quality human resource training, Mr. Kim Jin Pyo affirmed that the Global Innovation Research Institute will work with Binh Duong to develop high-quality human resources, particularly in the fields of information technology, software, artificial intelligence, semiconductors..., aiming at supporting the province’s digital transformation, industrialization and modernization efforts.
