On the afternoon of September 19, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received Warburg Pincus Corporation of the U.S, the world’s top private investment fund with more than US$44billion investing in many different scopes, especially logistics.

At the reception, Mr.Liem briefly informed the corporation of the local socio-economic development, FDI attraction and orientation for investment attraction. He applauded and spoke highly of strategic cooperation between the corporation and Becamex IDC with contents in line with the local development strategy. In the coming time, provincial People’s Committee will create favorable conditions for the two sides to effectively implement their cooperation programs.
Mr.Timothy Geithner, Chairman of Warburg Pincus Corporation also gave provincial leaders information of the corporation’s financial investment activities as well as investment opportunities in many fields in Vietnam in general and in Binh Duong in particular…
On this occasion, Becamex IDC and Warburg Pincus Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation. The two sides has so far had cooperation with 2 contents on setting up a join venture and making strategic cooperation with initial investment capital of around US$200million. The goal of the joint venture is to develop a logistics and warehousing area and ready-built factories under international standards, contributing to promoting logistics services in the province and other localities.
