*Presenting gifts, extending Tet greetings to Lao, Cambodian students at Ngo Quyen University
A delegation of provincial leaders, led by Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, has just paid a working visit to Dau Tieng Viet-Laos Rubber Joint Stock Co.(JSC).
At the working session, representative of the JSC informed the delegation about its investment progress as well as production results in 2015. Licensed by the Lao Government from June 2007 with total area of more than 10,000 hectares and total investment capital of more than VND1.3trillion, the company invested by Dau Tieng Rubber One Member Co.Ltd. and Binh Duong Production & Export Import Co. has so far planted and tapped nearly 7,000 hectares of rubber trees. Last year, it tapped more than 3,000 tons of rubber latex or nearly 103% of the year’s plan.
Addressing the working session, Mr.Liem spoke highly of the efforts by the JSC over the past time as well as its targets for 2016. He also wanted that the JSC will have close coordination with the local government, actively get involved in social charity activities, contributing to the socio-economic development of Champasak in particular and Laos in general, contributing to tightening sustainable tradition friendship between Binh Duong and Champasak.
*On the occasion of the traditional Tet festivals Chnam Thmay of Cambodia and Bunpimay of Laos, Binh Duong province’s Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association together with some units, on April 8, visited, extended Tet greetings, presented 87 gifts and 78 scholarships worth VND500,000 each to Lao and Cambodian students who now attend training courses at Ngo Quyen University.
