Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial NA delegation and Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, on November 29, received Nomoto Hirofumi, General Director of Japan’s Tokyu Group. Also attending the event were leaders of sectors, departments in the province and Becamex IDC.

At the reception, Mr.Nam briefly introduced the local socio-economic development and said that Tokyu Group is the largest Japanese investor in Binh Duong with total investment capital of more than US$1.2billion. Over the past time, Becamex Tokyu Co. Ltd., a joint venture between Becamex IDC and Tokyu Group reaped achievements with remarkable projects on Sora Gardens high-rise apartments, Hikari mall, Becamex Tokyu bus routes…He also believes in the success of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project of the joint venture, which is underway. This is a very important project, contributing to connecting Binh Duong with HCM city, Dong Nai and other localities in the Southern key economic zone and promoting the local urban development.
Mr.Nomto Hirofumi, General Director of Tokyu Group was impressed by Binh Duong’s development, especially in the process of perfecting necessary elements for urbanization…in Binh Duong new city. He said that this result came from the efforts by the local government and Becamex Tokyu Co.Ltd. For traffic development, he also thanked the local government and Becamex IDC for their support to the roadmap of ODA loan for the BRT project as well as urban planning along the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway while strongly believing that these projects will make positive contributions to the local development.
*The same day, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee also received Stephane Gripon, General Director of Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
At the reception, Mr.Stephane Gripon said that Mondelez International Corporation of the U.S is the world’s leading maker of biscuits with the annual revenue of US$30billion and now operates in 65 countries around the world. After the over US$450-million mergence agreement between Kido Vietnam Corporation and Mondelez International Corporation in early July 2015, Mondelez King Do Vietnam Joint Stock Company has constantly strived to become a top confectionary maker in Vietnam. The company now has 2 factories in Binh Duong and Hung Yen. He also highly appreciated Binh Duong’s investment climate and said that the company will further upgrade its factory in the locality to make new products…
On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem spoke highly of the company’s achievements and development orientations while acknowledging contributions by it to the province. He also required provincial Department of Customs to petition issues on tax raised by the company at the meeting to the General Department of Customs to ensure product prices and simultaneously suggested the company to present its queries in production-business for timely help from the province. In addition, he called for the company to further build its new factory in the province and affirmed that provincial leaders have always created favorable conditions for enterprises to work effectively.
