On the afternoon of September 19, an inspection delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MoPI), led by Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Bidding Management Agency under the MoPI, had a meeting with Binh Duong about the local bidding and use of domestic materials and goods. Mai Hung Dung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and representatives of sectors, departments and localities in the province received the delegation.

According to a report by provincial People’s Committee, since the Law on Bidding 2013 took effect, the whole province has had a total of 1,482 bidding packages worth more than VND15.77trillion. The province has also well observed the law in devising plans, selecting bidders for projects using State capital. Also, there have been 244 bidding packages implemented with domestic materials valued at more than VND3.3trillion; 134 ones with imported materials worth VND597.4billion.
At the meeting, the province petitioned the MoPI to boost the organization of training courses on new bidding regulations while giving timely guidance for units facing difficulties in the process of realizing the Law on Bidding.
Addressing the meeting, Mr.Dung asked for relevant agencies to create favorable conditions for Mr.Tuan and his delegation to carry out their inspection tour.
