On the afternoon of February 24, Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee welcomed and worked with a delegation from Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, led by Masashi Suzuki, a member of the Ibaraki Prefectural Assembly.

At the meeting, Mr. Thanh shared some of Binh Duong's economic and social development achievements in 2024. The province aims at achieving a 10% growth rate in 2025. Currently, Binh Duong is home to 4,430 investment projects from 65 countries and territories, with total registered capital of US$42.5 billion. Japan ranks second among these investors, with 358 projects capitalized at nearly US$6 billion. Like Binh Duong’s development direction, Ibaraki is also focusing on green transition, encouraging innovation in science and technology development. Mr. Masashi Suzuki expressed his hope that based on these shared development goals, both sides could explore opportunities for exchange and cooperation in areas of mutual interest in the near future.
