On the afternoon of June 28, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with leaders of Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUD) on the Chanh My Ecological Urban Area project at the People's Committee of Chanh My ward in Thu Dau Mot city.
The Chanh My Ecological Urban Area project invested by HUD has a total area of 372.55 hectares, which is divided into two phases. The phase 1 has a total area of more than 114.7 hectares and the phase 2 is 257.85 hectares. In the phase 1, as of now, the project has recovered the land of 516 out of 541 households with a total area of 108.3 out of 114.7 hectares (including 517 records), accounting for 94.37% of total. The remaining area that has not been cleared is 6.46 hectares, including 28 records of 24 households.
In terms of resettlement, as of now, 153 households on 276 land plots have received resettlement grounds; 2 households on 2 plots have not yet received resettlement ground. The progress of the project's infrastructure investment has reached about 94.37% under the plan with completed area for site clearance at 108.3 out of 114.7 hectares. The project includes 816 villas, 1,283 townhouses and 978 apartments.
In the phase 2, from 2007-2014, HUD has carried out compensation and support for resettlement with a total area of 184.07 hectares. The project includes 1,608 villas; 1,706 townhouses; 192 resettlement units; 64 policy apartments and 160 low-rise apartments.
Concluding the working session, Mr. Dung requested relevant units to actively mobilize and propagandize households to carry out compensation and site clearance; requested the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot city to support the investor unit during the process of implementing the project.
