On the afternoon of March 17, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, along with provincial working delegation, conducted an inspection and survey tour of the progress of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) city's belt road 3 at the section passing through the province.

Reporting to the delegation, leaders of provincial Traffic Project Management Board stated that 99% of land clearance and compensation at the Tan Van interchange has been completed. Construction units are accelerating progress on various components, aiming at opening the main route by 2025. As for the Binh Chuan intersection, land clearance has been basically completed and the construction unit is focusing on building the project, which is expected to be completed in September 2025.
Comrade Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated the urgency demonstrated by the units in constructing the components of the belt road 3. He also requested leaders of Thuan An city and Di An city to coordinate with relevant units to continue persuading and mobilizing residents and organizations to relocate and hand over the land to the investor for the implementation of the project. The goal is to complete and open the entire route by April 30, 2026, as directed by the Prime Minister. Provincial Party Committee Secretary also requested Becamex IDC to coordinate with relevant units to construct overpasses and underpasses along the 15.3km section of the belt road 3 overlapping with My Phuoc - Tan Van expressway, ensuring the completion of a four-lane expressway under the design of the entire route.
*On the afternoon of the same day, provincial delegation, led by provincial Party Committee Secretary, visited and worked with the Vietnam Railway Authority to review the progress of the An Binh central station planning and discuss the traffic connectivity strategy for the region.
At the meeting, reports indicated that relevant units of the Vietnam Railway Authority are planning An Binh station on a 173-hectare area to serve both passenger and goods transportation as well as developing a logistics hub, warehouses, an international intermodal station. According to the Vietnam Railway Authority, An Binh Station is a central hub in the southern region with five main freight routes connecting various regions across the country, contributing to the circulation of goods domestically and internationally.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Loi emphasized that Di An city is striving to become a science and technology-driven urban center, a civilized, modern and worth-living city. Therefore, completing traffic infrastructure is of great importance. Provincial Party Committee Secretary urged relevant units to expedite the finalization of An Binh Station’s master plan, ensuring its integration with the province’s free trade zone—the first domestic free trade zone in Vietnam—as well as its connection to regional and national traffic networks, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Southern key economic region.
