Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Loi: Digital transformation helps enterprises improve labor productivity

On the afternoon of April 2, provincial delegation, led by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, conducted a survey and working session at Lam Viet Joint Stock Company in Tan Uyen city’s Khanh Binh ward to assess the company’s production and business activities as well as its progress in digital and green transformation. The meeting was also attended by Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of relevant departments and Tan Uyen city.

Lam Viet Joint Stock Company specializes in manufacturing and exporting indoor and outdoor wooden furniture. The company currently has around 800 employees and achieved VND 900 billion in revenue in 2024. Nguyen Thanh Lam, CEO of Lam Viet Joint Stock Company stated that after years of working with major global markets, the company has continuously adapted to increasingly stringent partner requirements. As a result, it has actively invested in digital transformation, green transformation, circular transformation and carbon transition. The company has implemented an ERP system at every stage of production, ensuring product traceability and publicly disclosing the origin of its products. This system allows for precise tracking of product information and the legal source of timber throughout the production and distribution process. Additionally, the company has developed greenhouse gas inventory reports using specialized software. Additionally, the company has developed software-based greenhouse gas inventory reports, implemented maintenance and equipment management software and introduced an automated payroll system for workers. For the 2025-2030 period, the company has set an action plan to reduce emissions by 10% annually compared to 2024 levels.

 At the working session, provincial leaders, along with representatives from various departments, sectors and localities, discussed and addressed several requests from the company. These included issues regarding the extension of operational timelines, digital transformation efforts, green transition initiatives and the establishment of a timber material center in Binh Duong.

Speaking at the working session, provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Loi spoke highly of Lam Viet Joint Stock Company’s production and business performance over the past years. He emphasized that the company has played a crucial role in the development of the wood industry in the province and the nation. He noted that the effective implementation of digital transformation, green transition, automation and worker welfare initiatives has significantly boosted labor productivity and enabled deeper integration into the global value chain. He urged provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments to implement concrete measures for digital and green transformation in businesses such as developing an industrial zone management software, launching a carbon credit control program and addressing the company’s proposals related to operational permit extension, solar energy, industrial compound establishment, the creation of a wood material hub in Binh Duong…
