On the afternoon of August 9, a delegation of the World Trade Center Association (WTCA), led by Crystal Edn, Executive Director of WTCA member services, paid a courtesy visit to provincial leaders. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation received the delegation.
At the reception, Mr. Loi said that the province was honored to be chosen by WTCA as the venue for the World Trade Center Forum. He also informed the delegation of the local achievements after more than 25 years of construction and development. From a purely agricultural locality, Binh Duong today has reached strong development, becoming the country’s leading province in industrial development, with 60,000 enterprises, including 5,000 FDI enterprises, with total investment capital of about US$ 40 billion.
The province is making efforts to implement the local planning, striving that by 2030 the province's industrial manufacture will double compared to the present level, with focus on building a new generation industrial park, green and smart development. The province is also focusing on infrastructure investment, striving to invest in 3 highways connecting with Ho Chi Minh city and neighboring localities, towards seaports and international airports by 2025. In addition, the province is studying to build up a trans-Asia railway, serving the local development phase in the coming time. He wishes that with its potential, WTCA will further support and advise Binh Duong in order to obtain stronger development in the coming time. Binh Duong will be an active, responsible member, being ready to accompany and build up a growing association.
Mrs. Crystal Edn thanked for provincial leaders for their warm welcome while speaking highly the local development in all aspects over the past time as well as the development of WTC Binh Duong, thereby contributing to the common development of the WTCA. She also thanked Binh Duong for supporting the association, especially accompanying the event of the World Trade Center Forum in Binh Duong.
