On the afternoon of April 8, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, chaired the 90th regular meeting of provincial People’s Committee. The session was attended by Vice Chairpersons of provincial People’s Committee Bui Minh Thanh and Bui Minh Tri, along with leaders of departments, agencies, districts and cities.

The meeting approved 16 key items, including the submission and draft proposal for the Urban Railway Project Line No. 1, connecting Binh Duong New City to Suoi Tien Station in Ho Chi Minh city. The planned route spans 32.43 km, comprising a 29.01 km main line and a 3.42 km connection to the depot, passing through four cities: Tan Uyen, Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An and Di An. The project will feature 19 stations and one depot located in Tan Uyen city’s Phu Chanh ward. According to the investment plan including a depot, the total estimated investment is approximately VND 64,370 billion. Under the plan without a depot (sharing the Long Binh Depot in Ho Chi Minh city), the total estimated investment is approximately VND 56,301 billion.
The meeting also reviewed and approved a policy on allowing emergency construction to serve disaster prevention and control for the culvert project across National Highway 1K, under the construction package No. 11 – Cai Cau canal (Xiep stream). It also considered the Di An drainage system project and Tan Dong Hiep Industrial Park, along with several other traffic projects. Additionally, the meeting approved a proposal on appraising and approving the 1/2000-scale zoning plan for the Tan An urban development area in Thu Dau Mot city’s Tan An ward and reviewed a plan to supplement medium-term public investment capital for the 2021–2025 period for projects such as the road along the Be River in Phu Giao district, DT741–Ho Chi Minh Road expressway connector, Vinh Phu 32 road, An Bình road connecting to the Song Than overpass…
Speaking at the session, provincial People’s Committee Chairman Vo Van Minh generally agreed with the submitted proposals, but emphasized the urgency of certain key projects in the province. Particularly, the Saigon Riverside Road Project, under the directive of provincial Party Standing Committee, must urgently complete all necessary procedures and documents for submission to provincial People's Council for approval, enabling the allocation of funds and the early commencement of construction in the coming time…
