Vu Thanh Truc, Director of Coopmart Thu Dau Mot said that the supermarket has made great efforts to bring the best goods at reasonable price to serve its customers. Representatives of many retailers assert that, to attract customers to shop, the unit must apply at the same time many solutions. In particular, more practical and attractive discounts are more than just incentives to increase the purchasing power of consumers. Truc said that to do this, retailers must have other solutions such as purchasing policies at source, especially for fresh foods, vegetables, fruits, poultries, and seafood to stabilize supply at cheap, stable and competitive manner. Units must also have policies to optimize management and logistics to save costs. The savings will be used to invest in pricing programs, customer care, and marketing researches.
Of the same point of view, representatives of Big C said that, in the context of increasingly fierce competition, supermarkets and suppliers need to maintain not only the purchasing power but also more cohesion and cooperation to keep the prices steady and retain customers.
