Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DoARD) has launched a lot of practical and significant emulation movements, contributing to successfully realizing the sector’s set targets.

Emulation realized in the right direction
Nguyen Tan Binh, Director of provincial DoARD said that the sector’s emulation movements have been implemented in the right direction with specific norms. They have also been a motivation for the sector’s staff to boost solidarity and improve their working efficiency.
During the past five years, provincial DoARD launched many emulation movements, namely “Joining hands in new rural construction and realizing a program on shifting agriculture and rural development sector between 2012 and 2020”; “Agricultural production is developed towards hi-tech, urban and ecological models in association with processing industry”; “Making a shift of agricultural structure towards the increase of added value and sustainable development…
Thanks to emulation movements, the sector’s staff successfully realized the set tasks in the 2010 and 2015 period. The sector’s production value in 2014 reached VND3.132bln, up 16.5% compared to 2010; the average production value on one hectare of farming land was VND90mln, up 54%; the average income per capita in the rural region reached VND31mln/year, up 63% compared to 2010.
The province’s agricultural production is now promoted towards hi-tech and urban models with certain development steps. Many local farmers have bravely applied sci-tech advancements into agricultural production for better results.
Currently, the whole province is home to 4 hi-tech agricultural parks with a total area of 979.71 hectares and a total investment capital of around VND624bln. Although total farming area for several crop plants is narrowed, there is an increase in the output and quality of products of crop plants.
Successfully realizing the set targets
The overall goals of the local agriculture and rural development sector’s 2015-2020 emulation movement are to successfully carry out the central Resolution No.26-NQ/TW on agriculture, farmers and rural areas; further serve the industrialization and modernization career of agriculture and rural development; boost hi-tech, urban agricultural models in association with processing industry…
For better results, according to Mr.Binh, provincial DoARD has made plans on launching emulation movements among staff, reviewing their implementation and sorting out outstanding collectives and individuals for commendation and reward. Provincial DoARD and its units have also determined to well fulfill their entrusted tasks, contributing to successfully realizing the local targets on socio-economic development between 2015 and 2020; strived to reach an annual growth of 3.5%-4% in agro-forestry-fishery production value, an structure on cultivation-animal husbandry and services with respective proportion 60%, 36% and 4%, the average production value on one hectare of farming land of more than VND100mln…
With achievements done in patriotic emulation movements during the past five years, provincial DoARD was awarded the second-class Medal together with other noble prizes. It is believed that the province’s agricultural sector will gain much progress in the coming time.
