Provincial typical rural industrial products increasingly asserting position

Efforts from many sides

Over the past time, industrial promotion was recognized as one of the bright spots with significantly contributions to the overall achievements of the whole industry and trade sector, contributing to promoting the local industrialization-modernization process and shift of rural economic restructure. In the task of selecting the local typical rural industrial products, provincial Department of Industry and Trade clearly defined the role and function of State management on selective activities in order to effectively implement them from grassroots level.

According to Tan Uyen town’s Division of Economics, the locality has focused on monitoring and urging the implementation of the selection on schedule while strengthening guidance, inspection, supervision and promptly removing obstacles in the process of implementing activities for the selection from grassroots level.

Vuong Sieu Tin, Director of Phuoc Du Long Ceramics Company said: “The selection of typical rural industrial products has helped enterprises stimulate creativity in production. In particular, they will focus on improving patterns to suit the market while finding new and strange inventions with positive effects to environmental protection in order to create a good connection with the market. I hope that more and more traditional ceramics units will participate in this activity to preserve the enduring creativity in the profession as well as holding the domestic market.”

Phan Thi My Trang, the owner of Dang Nguyen Coffee Production Facility in Phu Giao district said: “This is the first time we have participated in and got high scores. Being recognized as a technology product at all levels is the driving force for the company to continue investing in expanding production and building a stronger brand. Moreover, when products are recognized as typical industrial rural ones, they will win consumers ‘trust, helping them have the opportunity to develop in the market. We are also very honored when having a typical industrial rural product at Southern regional level. This is an opportunity for us to promote our products. In the coming time, we will continue researching, developing, looking for partners and expanding more markets, thereby connecting consumption markets with members, creating more jobs for the local workers. According to Mrs. Trang, in order to have quality products, since its establishment, the company has invested in modern processing machines such as coffee roasters, color sorters as well as creating stable development for the clean raw material area to ensure sufficient output for processing.

Similarly, Luong Ngoc Van, Director of Truong Tho Trading and Production One Member Co.Ltd.in Ben Cat town shared: “In recent years, we have just begun attaching special importance to building our brand as well as participating in the certification program of typical industrial rural products. The establishment has registered its trademark, improved designs and packaging while improving the quality of products at the market’s increasing requirements. These are the certifications that confirm the quality standards for products, which will be more trusted by consumers, opening up opportunities to thrive in the market."

Popularization promoted

According to Tran Thanh Trong, General Director of Sang Ban Mai Joint Stock Company, for businesses, cooperatives and establishments with products being voted as typical industrial rural ones, this will be a pride, affirming their prestige of quality and position in the market while creating the motivation for units to continuously improve patterns, enhance the quality of products, making them get high competitiveness and sustainable development. Hopefully in the near future, our products will be promoted more and reach out to the market.

Pham Thanh Dung, Director of the Investment-Trade Promotion and Industrial Development Center under provincial Department of Industry and Trade said: Strengthening promotional activities through fairs, exhibitions inside and outside the province has aimed at bringing products to markets, supporting enterprises in brand development…

For activites to support the development of typical industrial rural products with practical effects, the unit will further review and advise on amending and supplementing documents on support activities for the local typical industrial rural products; renew and improve the effectiveness of propaganda in many forms with practical contents; strengthen support for technological innovation in each stage of the production chain in order to improve productivity and products’ quality”.

Do Thi Minh Tram, Deputy Director of the local Department of Industry and Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the department will also focus on supporting the development of the brands of Binh Duong’s typical industrial rural products, guide enterprises to register to participate in the selection of products with Vietnamese national brands. These products will be promoted in domestic and international markets. Enterprises and establishments with products being recognized as typical industrial rural ones can participate in conferences, seminars, trainings courses on brand development in order to raise their brand awareness, strengthen their business capacity and brand development. In addition, they can also participate in seminars and consultancy sessions on design, thereby getting opportunities to connect and learn from leading design consultants at home and abroad in order to improve the image and value of products, develop labels and have appropriate development strategies in the future.
