Early July 10, the Executive Board of the 5th provincial Veterans Association held its 7th session to review the association’s activities in the first half of 2015, define orientations, tasks for the rest of the year, in attendance of Nguyen Thanh Liem, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Public Relations Committee.
Provincial Veterans Associations at all levels over the past six months admitted additional 311 members, bringing their total number of members to nearly 14,900; mobilized members to help each other in economic development with nearly VND1.5bln in production capital, build and upgrade 8 “comrade” houses worth VND350mln; visited and presented gifts worth nearly VND1.8bln to needy members…
Addressing the session, Mr.Liem acknowledged delegates’ contributive ideas on measures removing difficulties to well realize the association’s orientations, tasks in the remaining 6 months; simultaneously suggested the association to further promoting “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” in association with the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Party Central Committee's 4th session, respond to activities in celebration of the nation’s great holidays, boost emulation movements to welcome Party congresses at all levels…
