Provincial People's Committee is currently reviewing the investment proposal for the construction of the ITC Rach Bap Inland Port, located in Ben Cat city’s An Tay ward. The project is planned to cover nearly 12 hectares of land and water, with an expected capacity of 2million-3 million tons per year. The total investment for the project is estimated at over VND 1.375 trillion, equivalent to more than US$ 57 million. The project is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2025 and be completed, with operations beginning in the third quarter of 2027.
The ITC Rach Bap inland port will be capable of accommodating watercraft with a load capacity of up to 3,000 tons. It is an inland waterway container port and ICD (Inland Container Depot) with functions, including cargo handling and customs clearance for import and export goods. This encompasses inland waterway transportation, road freight transportation, coastal and ocean freight transportation.
