Removing obstacles to develop industrial compounds

Early November 9, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with Binh Duong provincial People's Committee to organize a conference on mechanisms and policies for industrial compounds (ICs) development to evaluate the results of implementing the Government’s Decree No.68/2017/ND-CP dated May 25, 2017 on management and development of ICs and 2 years of implementation of the Government’s Decree No. 66/2020/ND-CP dated June 11, 2020 on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Decree No. 68.

The conference was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan and Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee. Attending the conference were leaders of provincial People's Committee and the sector of trade and industry of more than 30 localities in the central, Central Highlands and southern regions, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Public Security.

At the conference, delegates exchanged, discussed and evaluated results done in the management and development of ICs. Especially, they pointed out shortcomings and proposed solutions to overcome obstacles. Binh Duong’s sector of industry and trade confirmed the effectiveness of private ICs, the necessity of establishing new ICs to meet development needs.

Binh Duong provincial Department of Industry and Trade requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to summarize and give reports to relevant ministries and sectors in the direction of simplifying procedures and providing detailed instructions to unify how to implement nationwide for the case of land plots for the establishment of new ICs originating from the State, which is assigned to rubber companies and members of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group for management, with the purpose of use being agricultural production. Based on the opinions of provinces and cities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will summarize and report to the Prime Minister to solve problems in ICs development.
