Replicate Vietnamese goods’ stores to implement the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods"

As the socio-economy continues to thrive, the demand for consumer goods is rising in Binh Duong and across the country. In response to this market demand and to support the "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" campaign, various sectors and localities in the province are working diligently to establish and expand stores of Vietnamese products.

Increase awareness of Vietnamese products

According to the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, in recent years, to limit sudden price increases during holidays and Tet, localities in the province have implemented quite well the price stabilization program for essential goods. The program has brought about practical results, the number of businesses and total value of goods participating in the program is increasing and diversifying in terms of products. In particular, the Price Stabilization Program is implemented by localities together with the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" through the establishment of retail locations and stores in rural areas. This program has received active participation from the people.

People come to buy goods at a Vietnamese goods and price stabilization location opened by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tam Lap commune (Phu Giao district) at Phu Phi grocery store in Dong Tam hamlet.

It has been observed that in several districts, including Bau Bang, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, and Bac Tan Uyen, there are prominent signs, slogans, and decorations highlighting Vietnamese goods, effectively attracting local residents' attention. For instance, at the Phu Phi grocery store located in Dong Tam Hamlet, Tam Lap Commune, Phu Giao District, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tam Lap Commune collaborated with Mr. Ha Phu Phi's family to organize a sale of Vietnamese goods alongside a price stabilization initiative. The store features a noticeable sign that reads "Store of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods and Price Stabilization," helping customers quickly identify it. The store offers a variety of products produced by domestic enterprises, including rice, cooking oil, candy, vegetables, and fruits, all at stable prices that are equal to or lower than market rates while ensuring high quality.

In Bau Bang district, Toan Hang grocery store in Hamlet 1, Hung Hoa commune also designed a signboard "Selling goods at stable prices - Implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" placed on the street frontage so that people passing by the store can easily see it.

Commitment from businesses

Mr. Ha Phu Phi emphasized that, given the current prevalence of counterfeit and low-quality goods that are hard to identify, the Phu Phi grocery store is dedicated to offering products made by domestic manufacturers. These products are of high quality and reasonably priced, aiming to foster a habit of purchasing domestic goods among local consumers.

It is noted that Vietnamese goods sold in the province meet quality assurance standards, as well as requirements for food hygiene and safety, product origin, and labeling. Furthermore, store owners designated as Vietnamese goods locations commit to maintaining these standards while ensuring adequate space and quantity of goods. They will operate under the supervision of local authorities to uphold this model.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh The, Director of Nong Trai Grocery Trading and Service Cooperative in Thuong Tan Commune, Bac Tan Uyen District, shared that his family has invested in a grocery service business modeled after convenience stores. The objective of this convenience store model is twofold: it aims to collaborate with domestic manufacturing enterprises to ensure a stable supply of goods while also connecting with local farm owners and gardeners. This approach allows them to purchase and trade agricultural products, particularly citrus fruits from Bac Tan Uyen District. By doing so, they contribute to enhancing the brand of local agricultural products, stabilizing supply, and helping consumers access safe products. This also contributes to spreading the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products", increasing the consumption of Vietnamese products, improving the lives of local people.

Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Tam Lap Commune, Phu Giao District, stated that the commune currently has 62 stores selling food and foodstuffs, which adequately meet the needs of local community. Tam Lap commune boasts numerous stores, making it an advantageous location for establishing Vietnamese price-stabilized products' selling points. These outlets provide residents with trustworthy shopping options that offer a wide variety of quality goods at stable prices. Each week, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee and the Hamlet Executive Board visit these Vietnamese goods stores to monitor their operations, selling prices, and available products, to ensure that Vietnamese products best serve the people’s needs.
