Implementing the Tourism Development Cooperation Program between the Binh Duong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Culture, Sports and Tourism) of Binh Duong Province and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (now Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism) in 2014-2018, Binh Duong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just launched the tour route from Ho Chi Minh City to Thu Dau Mot City to be conducted by General Sai Gon Tourist Company Limited (Saigon Tourist). To meet the needs of tourists in Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Duong, the company has introduced new vehicles and new services to make the products more abundant. With this program, in the beginning, the target audience is international guests. Along with international visitors, domestic travelers, especially city dwellers, and large market segments such as students will be attracted by the company. The company has established information booths for river tours at travel agencies, hotels and restaurants in the system. This product is also promoted on social networks and media agencies.

Nguyen Khoa Hai, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Binh Duong has the advantage of charming river views connected with beautiful orchards and cool climate. Sightseeing is enjoyable in the ỏchards by weekend travelling trips or to holiday resorts along the river. Besides, Binh Duong also has a variety of cuisine, many historical and cultural relics, ancient architectural works, traditional villages, lacquerware, ceramics and so on. This is a favorable condition for the development of various types of tourism to serve tourists, especially river tours from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong. Therefore, Binh Duong has created favorable conditions for Saigon Tourist Company to conduct river tours of Binh Duong - Ho Chi Minh City. It is also one of the activities to implement the "Provincial Tourism Development Plan to 2020 with a vision to 2030" and the project "Development of special tourism products in Binh Duong Province to 2015, orienting to 2020 ".
Beside the advantages, Binh Duong still has some limitations to develop tourism, especially river travelling trips. Therefore, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the provincial People's Committee to consider directing the People's Committees of districts, towns and Thu Dau Mot City to build wharves, waiting lounges and means of transshipment at Cau Ngang area. Thuan An Town, Bach Dang wharf, Thu Dau Mot town, and trigon diocese tunnels (Ben Cat town) for tourists to visit. In addition, People's Committees of districts, towns and Thu Dau Mot City are to instruct departments and units to increase coordination with tour operators in and outside the province in the process of implementing the connection tour travel. At the same time, security and order must be ensured for tourists to visit. At tourist sites of the province, the management units need to supplement the specific tourism products to attract visitors.
