Collective economy is one of important parts in North Tan Uyen district’s economic development strategy. Thanks to making efforts in perfecting the apparatus of organization with effective operation, the district’s collective economy actively contributed to the local common development over the past years.
Propaganda, training strengthened
The district’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development now has a total of 15 members. They are assigned concrete tasks with working regulations in association with the local real situation, ensuring the effective operation of the local collective economy.

The district’s People’s Committee has also strengthened propaganda activities, helping the local people know more about the role of collective economy in the process of the local socio-economic development.
Over the past nine months, the district’s Radio Station carried out 31 programs with 46 news and articles with a total time of 54 hours. Their contents focused on disseminating the Party and State’s national target program on new-style rural area building in association with collective economy; outstanding models on new-style rural area building…
Nguyen Thanh Tam, Head of the district’s Division of Finance and Planning said that the district has just held a training course on cooperative model development for 76 cadres of the local Farmers’ Associations at all levels, leaders of the People’s Committees of communes, Tan Thanh township, representatives of enterprises…
The district also coordinated with provincial Cooperative Alliance to open a training course for around 200 people, including members of the local Steering Boards of Collective Economic Development at all levels, leaders of the local Fatherland Front Committees at all levels…Mr.Tam said that through these training courses, the local apparatus of collective economy has got more perfect, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of production-trading facilities. Upon this, the district’s collective economy has brought more benefits to the local people.
Upholding internal forces
The whole district is now home to 5 cooperative groups with 40 members, comprising of 4 cooperative groups on agricultural production. These cooperative groups can reach VND995million in revenue and VND391million in profit with the average income of laborers at VND3.5million-VND4million per person per month. There is also a cooperative group on trade-services with 5 members, revenue of VND270million and average income of VND3million per person per month.
District-based cooperatives have worked very stably with the average income of laborers at VND6million per person per month. Among them, there are 6 on agriculture with 49 members, 69 laborers and total revenue in the first 9 months of 2019 at more than VND2.33billion; 3 on home industry with 21 members, 96 laborers, revenue of over VND221.4billion, average income of laborers at VND6million per person per month…
So far, provincial Fund for Collective Economic Development has disbursed VND7.5billion in loan for Toan Luc Steel Cooperative for production expansion. Tan My Fruit Tree Cooperative also got VND640million in loan from the fund to buy a truck for farm produce transportation. Provincial Department of Science and Technology is considering a project on organic agriculture of Nhan Duc Cooperative with total capital estimated at around VND10billion.
According to leaders of the district, thanks to propaganda work well realized, there were positive changes in awareness of sectors, authorities, cadres, Party members and people from all strata about the role of collective economy in the local socio-economic development.
Tran Thi Minh Hanh, Vice-Chairwoman of the district’s People’s Committee, Deputy Head of the district’s Steering Board of Collective Economy said that district-based cooperatives, cooperative groups have generated jobs for the local laborers with stable income. They have well upheld their internal forces, bringing hi-economic efficiency in production-business. Collective economy has become one of important parts in the local economic development strategy.
From now till year-end, the district will map out the local plan on cooperative economic development for 2020. The district’s People’s Committee will conduct units that are in charge of cooperatives in communes of Lac An, Tan Dinh, Binh My to recheck and seek ways to remove obstacles for cooperatives with in effective operation; instruct functional agencies to work with the People’s Committees of communes and Tan Thanh township to guide cooperatives to realize tax declaration as stipulated.
