Rural infrastructure with synchronous development

So far, localities in Bau Bang district have fulfilled their new-style rural construction. This aims to help the district realize a target of being recognized as a new-style rural district by 2020. Noticeably, the district has built up a synchronous rural infrastructure system at requirements of socio-economic development.

Rural traffic infrastructure system perfected

Along with State budget, the district has well mobilized resources from people and enterprises to construct infrastructure facilities, especially rural traffic ones. The whole district has till now had a total of 385.34 km of rural roads. Over the past time, the district’s total expense for upgrading rural roads was more than VND55billion.

In Tan Hung commune, there are no more downgraded roads. Many spacious houses are built, contributing to bringing a new image to the rural commune. The commune now has a well-built infrastructure traffic system, facilitating the local people’s traveling and goods transportation.

Nguyen Minh Luan, Secretary of Tan Hung commune’s Party Committee said that apart from DT741B street regularly upgraded, the commune has also attached special importance to building its rural traffic system. Currently, the commune is home to 60 rural roads, many of them covered by asphalt or concrete with a total expense of more than VND8billion…

Rural markets upholding effectiveness

Realizing that rural infrastructure construction is the premise for socio-economic development and is also the condition for new-style rural communal construction, Bau Bang district has paid attention to building rural markets at people’s demand for shopping. All 6 communes and Lai Uyen town in the district have markets. In Lai Uyen township, there are 2 markets, including a traditional rural market and a second-class market invested by Becamex IDC at Bau Bang Industrial park.

Le Khac Tri, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee said that a network of traditional market is still a main channel of goods distribution for the local people. The town has also made socialization in constructing markets with total investment of more than VND48billion. For example, markets of Long Nguyen, Hung Hoa, Tan Hung, Tra Van Tho…are developed under the socialization formula with total investment of VND12billion, VND13.5billion, VND7billion and VND3billion, respectively.

Noticeably, Lai Khe market of more than 3,000 square meters is invested by Trung Kien Trading-Services Private Enterprise with total investment of VND6.5billion. The markets now have 40 small traders with a wide range of commodities displayed and sold. The birth of the market contributes to well solving the local people’s demand for purchasing and selling commodities.

Mr.Tri also added that along with attaching special importance to upgrading traditional markets, step by step building supermarkets in residential areas, the district has promoted the local retail system. In addition, the district has teamed up with Becamex IDC to construct supermarkets and plazas, aiming to meeting the demand of investors at Bau Bang Industrial Park and gradually switching traditional markets in central areas into the modern ones to increase purchasing power and trading activities with neighboring localities.
