Binh Duong has boosted sic-tech application and transfer, thereby helping enterprises and locals to decrease production costs, increase profits as well as generating prestigious products at home and abroad.

So far, Binh Duong has implemented plenty of sci-tech transfer programs, assisting enterprises to apply sci-tech advancements in production and business for better results. Many enterprises, namely Minh Long 1 Porcelain Co.Ltd., Thien Duoc Co.Ltd., Dong A Steel Joint Stock Co…have made breakthroughs in sci-tech application in production-business, thereby creating international standard products.

Ly Ngoc Minh, General Director of Minh Long 1 Porcelain Co.Ltd. in Thuan An town said that the company has so far spent on millions of U.S dollars on importing the state-of-the-art machines from countries with advanced sci-tech. The company now has more than 15,000 kinds of products. For exports, there are more than 3,000 patterns supplying for foreign markets like the U.S, France, Germany, China, Singapore…
Along with investing in modern equipment, province-based enterprises have also attached special importance to researching and innovating production technologies as this is one of important elements for them to create competitive advantages. Ta Huu Toan, General Director of Huu Toan Joint Stock Co. in Thuan An town said that apart from choosing partners supplying equipment from countries with advanced sci-tech like Japan, Germany…, the company has to date set up a research and development department seeking sci-tech solutions and applying them in productiong in order to generate the best products at clients’ requirements. Noticeably, the company has just exported electric generators with capacity of 2,000-KVA to Japan. This success came from the efforts of all company staff during the last two years.
Building up safe agricultural trademarks
Binh Duong has also promoted sci-tech application in agricultural production. The whole province now has a total of more than 925 hectares of farming land making sci-tech application in plants and animals with hi-economic value. Many hi-tech based agricultural tentative models under VietGap and Global GAP standards have brought high economic efficiency. In addition, the total area of farming land with sci-tech application in the province is increasing. This contributes to creating a new image for the local agricultural production towards hi-tech based models.
Ngo Van Dinh, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Science and Technology said that sci-tech application has become a main factor, helping increase productivity, reduce the price of agricultural products and improve the their quality. This has also contributed to raising the value of the local agricultural products, ensuring requirements on food safety-hygiene and having enough competitiveness in both domestic and foreign markets.
An Thai hi-tech park in Phu Giao district has so far grown 340 hectares of fruits, 10 hectares of ornamental plants, 10 hectares of safe vegetables and 20 hectares of other plants. Most of the hi-tech park’s products are present at domestic big supermarket chains like Metro, Big C…And they are also introduced at foreign markets like Japan, South Korea…
Also, there are a lot of cultivation and animal husbandry models under VietGap standards with hi-economic efficiency developed in the province. They include Lam Thanh Thang’s over 5-hectare orange orchard in North Tan Uyen’s Hieu Liem commune, Thanh Thuy green-skin pomelo farm of more than 14 hectares in Bau Bang district’s Long Nguyen commune, Chin Phan sweet tangerine farm of more than 13 hectares with the annual profit of billions of dong.
Possibly speaking, the province’s sci-tech application and transfer activities in aspects have brought good results in production and business. They have also contributed to making positive changes in action and awareness of accelerating sci-tech application in production-business among enterprises and locals, thereby generating hi-quality products at market’s demand.
Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee assessed that the province’s sci-tech task over the past time made great strides, contributing to the local socio-economic development. Applying sci-tech advancements in production has helped province-based enterprises to improve productivity, product quality, step by step asserting their trademarks and expanding their markets at home and abroad.
