Over the past years, Department of Science and Technology and Binh Duong provincial Union of Cooperatives have closely coordinated and implemented many activities on transferring science and technology by applying new science and technology to production activities to bring about high economic efficiency, making an important contribution to the collective economic development of the province, and promoting the green production.

The effect of coordination
The coordination program between the Department of Science and Technology and the provincial Union of Cooperatives in 2016-2020 has actively organized with a conference to develop detailed plans, and to identify annual science and technology tasks to ensure timely implementation and high quality and efficiency.
Specifically, the two sides implemented many activities to support the construction of a quality management system according to ISO 9001-2015 for Hong Duc Cooperative in Ben Cat town and Thanh Kien Guava Cooperative in Phu Giao district to issue codes and barcodes of goods to 5 cooperatives in the area. In addition, instructions for registration of trademark rights have been provided for 3 cooperatives including Bong Trang Agricultural Cooperative, Tan Hiep An Cooperative, and Tan Phat Cooperative. At the same time, the provincial Union of Cooperatives often acts as a bridge between cooperatives and enterprises in the field of science and technology. In the past time, 3 cooperatives have boldly invested in applying solar power technology to production and business to reduce input costs during their operations.
To multiply the models
Stemming from the effectiveness of the program of cooperation in 2016-2020 and in order to continue to meet the practical needs of science and technology for the cause of collective economic development in the coming time, the two sides have signed to implement the program of coordination of activities for 2021-2025.
Mr. Ha Van Phuc, Deputy Chairman of the provincial Union of Cooperatives, said: “The fact that the provincial Union of Cooperatives and the Department of Science and Technology continue to sign cooperation agreements in the 2021-2025 period aims to promote and further improve operational efficiency along with information, propaganda and mobilization of people in the province to actively participate in collective economic forms by using the services of cooperative groups and cooperatives to improve production, business and development efficiency of family and collective economy. In addition, raising awareness of staff and members about the important position of science and technology in production activities and the life of collective economic organizations has been focused while building and replicating valuable models of science and technology application for high and sustainable economic value in all fields, and supporting the application of science and technology in the collective economy in all aspects."
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, in the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology will focus on supporting the application of science and technology in the development of livestock and farming industries for collective economic organizations in the direction of production in concentrated cultivation areas with high competitiveness to gradually affirm their brands serving domestic consumption and export demands. In addition, the Department of Science and Technology also supports the implementation of digital transformation projects and the application of digital technology in production and business of agricultural products. New and high-tech application projects will create added value for agricultural products. The Department of Science and Technology also cooperates to support collective economic organizations to promote initiatives, improve techniques, and apply technology transfers.
