Early February 23, Becamex IDC coordinated with provincial People's Committee to organize a scientific workshop on the local strategic planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 at provincial Exhibition and Convention Center.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr.Nam emphasized the importance of the local planning for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. This is a "guidance" for departments and localities to set up sectoral and local planning consistently; orientation for Binh Duong to develop in the Southern Key Economic Zone. Therefore, he requested experts to provide a strategic orientation framework for the local planning with quality, feasibility ensured; objectively evaluate and put forward appropriate and specific solutions for the province to achieve the set goals.
Addressing the workshop, Dr. Pham Tuan Anh from Becamex IDC presented "Binh Duong’s planning orientation framework for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050". Accordingly, Binh Duong must overcome the middle-income trap under the 6-pillar strategy, including avoiding the trap of interrupted development through legacy development; avoiding the trap of labor productivity through innovation based development; avoiding the trap of urbanization through coordinated development.
