In 2015, economic situation is relatively stable, many businesses in Binh Duong province have expanded production, leading to higher labor demand. To satisfy employment demand, provincial Job Introduction Center has taken actions to connect labors and enterprises. Binh Duong Newspaper interviewed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Head of Job Introduction Division under Job Introduction Center (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), to learn more about this issue.
- Sir, how were recruitment results in the first 7 months 2015?
- Employment target in the 2011-2015 period of the province is 40,000-50,000 labors. But in 2015, demand increased by 60,000 with 3,612 recruiters. Due to high recruitment demand, in the first 7 months, our center introduced jobs to 40,939 labors including 18,600 labors at job transaction floors (45.5%), 20,089 labors at our headquarter, and 2,250 labors through online service. Recruitment demands consisted of many fields, like: garments, footwear, transportation, office, rubber processing... Labors looking for jobs also varied in qualifications and age. However, businesses have preferred labors having intermediate level of qualification, and labors being proficient in English, Chinese, Japanese. In addition, at job transaction floors, labors also wanted to learn more about labor export to Japan.

- How do you assess the labor market in the last months?
- Recruitment demands would increase by 60,000 in 2015 and there are now 40,939 jobs introduced to labors, thus demands for permanent employment at year-end would fall. However, demands for seasonal labor would rise, because enterprises will enhance production for more orders on New Year occasion. Namely, moon cake producers, real estate companies, supermarkets, commercial centers are recruiting more labors.
- So, provincial Job Introduction Center has taken what actions to assist businesses and labors, sir?
- As a linkage between companies and labors, we have posted recruitment information on official website of the center, advertised on local radio; coordinated with Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs Bureau of localities to post recruitment notices. We also contacted with Women's Union, Veterans Association to inform about recruitments, sent letters to those receiving unemployment insurance allowance. The center organizes 2 job transaction floors/ month; disseminates recruitment information among the provinces and cities nationwide; cooperates with colleges and universities to connect graduates with employers.
- Many new job introduction centers charge labors high prices for their service. According to you, what should labors be careful about?
- Currently, knowing recruitment needs of employers, many job introduction centers charge high prices for their service. They also use tricks to attract labors, such as: advertisements of simple jobs with high salaries, receiving new job after training… Many labors were fooled by these tricks and lost their money.
Thanks to warnings of labors, we do not allow these centers to post recruitment information at provincial Job Introduction Center. But we cannot prohibit them to recruit outside. Therefore, labors should be cautious about choosing a center to avoid losses.
