Along with industrial development, Ben Cat town has always attached special importance to the local sector of trade-services. This field has also well met people’s demand for consumption, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
Development in right direction
Over the past time, the town’s sector of trade-services, mainly in finance, banking, post-telecommunications, transportation, housing… gained good results. The sector in 2019 continued going on smoothness with stable supply of food and foodstuff. Especially, the prices of commodities in the town remained stable. The town also strengthened the fight against fake, poor-quality products…
Thanks to solutions on trade-services implemented appropriately and effectively, the town’s sector of trade-services reached vigorous development over the past time, satisfying people and enterprises’ demand for daily life and production. Noticeably, the town’s infrastructure system on trade-services was upgraded with services’ quality improved and diversification in terms of services with the participation of economic sectors.
In 2019, the town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was more than VND31billion, up nearly 30% compared to the previous year or 100.8% of the resolution of the local People’s Council. The town also granted business registration certificates to 1,841 individual business households with total capital of nearly VND700billion. So far, the town has had a total of 34,254 individual business households with total registered capital of more than VND7.6trillion.
The local people’s demand for consumption about commodities and services also was increasing with diversification in the amount of essential commodities of the price stabilization program. The town also well realized market management, opportunely penalized wrong cases, contributing to stabilizing the local goods market.
Focusing on quality
Bui Duy Hien, Secretary of Ben Cat town’s Party Committee said that over the past time, the town’s socio-economic situation reached many obvious changes. The town’s sector of trade-services saw increase both in quality and quantity. Some services of transportation, post-telecommunications… reached robust growth. The town attached special importance to calling for investors to make investment into markets, trade centers, hospitals, schools…
In the coming time, the town will develop temporary markets into traditional ones and foster a civilized, modern market system. The town will also pay attention to promoting support services for enterprises; create a harmonious combination between traditional business activities and e-business ones; make favorable conditions for enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups to register their trademarks for better development.
Such these apart, the town will improve the operational effectiveness of Phu An ecological reserve. Accordingly, the town will uphold the tradition of bamboo village while diversifying models to absorb more visitors. The town will also call for enterprises to make investment in ecotourism sites in 3 communes along Saigon and Thi Tinh rivers, in which there will be focus on ecotourism model in association with increasing the value of hi-tech agricultural products…
