* All conditions prepared for LEGO to build the factory on schedule
Afternoon of January 12, at Binh Duong provincial Administration Center, Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee received and worked with Kelvin Teo - CEO of Semncorp Development Group from Singapore, accompanying by representatives of leaders of provincial departments and agencies.
At the meeting, Kelvin Teo said that the model of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP) was successfully evaluated in Binh Duong and many provinces and cities in Vietnam. VSIP IPs are considered as a highly effective cooperation between Binh Duong province and Sembcorp. The Group commits to continue developing projects in VSIP IPs in Binh Duong, especially developing VSIP III into the group's first green, smart and zero-waste industrial park. Kelvin Teo was hopeful that the provincial authority will continue to create favorable conditions for Semncorp in the coming time.
Vo Van Minh highly appreciated Semncorp as well as its vision and long-term investment and development plan. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee hoped that Sembcorp will continue to implement VSIP Group's projects in Binh Duong province as well as continue to research and implement new projects in the fields of commerce, urban development, transport infrastructure through VSIP IPs. The provincial authority is committed to always accompanying the group on the upcoming development.
In the afternoon of the same day, at the provincial Administration Center, Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee received and worked with Preben Enef - General Director of LEGO Vietnam Technology Co. Ltd. accompanied by representatives of leaders of provincial departments and agencies.
At the meeting, Preben Enef informed about the progress of the group's construction project of more than USD-1-billion factory in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park III (VSIP III). Up to now, the project is being implemented according to the plan; and the leaders of the group are very satisfied with the project in Vietnam. In order for the factory to come into operation on schedule in June 2024, Preben Enef wished Binh Duong provincial authority and VSIP Industrial Park to quickly complete the land procedures, creating all conditions for the group to deploy the project as soon as possible.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh pledged that the Binh Duong provincial authority will actively coordinate with the group to take the next steps for the project to be implemented smoothly. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee suggested that the functional branches of the province continue to monitor and regularly organize working sessions with the corporation to solve problems in order to speed up the project progress.
