From the low starting point, Binh Duong has applied creatively the policy of "the State and people working together" in building and constructing transport infrastructure, urban area to open the road for socio-economic development and has achieved great results. Developing internal resources From 20 years ago, with the unyielding and indomitable tradition, the Party, authorities and people in Binh Duong province united to concentrate their intellect and applied creatively the Party and Government's policies into the local reality. Accordingly, owing to the support of the Government and central ministries, provincial leaders have gathered and strongly developed internal resources for development. The province's first infrastructure project in the direction of socialization was Highway 13 under BOT method (Build-Operate-Transfer). Owing to this project plus the policy of welcoming talents and investments, Binh Duong has been known by the whole country, businesses, and investors. By applying creatively the policy of "the State and the people working together", the movement of rural traffic - urban embellishment has been strongly developed in the province. This movement has contributed to the formation of thousands kilometer of rural roads, renovating the urban face in the direction of civilization and modernity. Regarding the development of technical infrastructure, Binh Duong now has priority to invest in regional transport projects to connect Binh Duong with Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the southern key economic region. In addition, the province continues to invest in My Phuoc - Tan Van road to Bau Bang district to connect with northern urban areas of the province; deployed a fast bus project; at the same time, studied the the synchronous construction of technical infrastructure system in each urban center and the common technical infrastructure system. For the development of social infrastructure, Binh Duong continues to attract investment for national and international cultural projects; step up socialization in order to increase investment sources, thus contributing to heightening the quality of education and healthcare, especially investment in high-quality services and healthcare for people. Binh Duong also continues to pay attention to building a civilized urban lifestyle, focusing on propagandizing and mobilizing people to build a healthy cultural environment, cultural lifestyle and urban civilization; promoting democracy and upholding the rule of law. Soon to become civilized, modern urban Decision No. 893 / QD-TTg dated June 11, 2014 on adjusting the master plan on socio-economic development in Binh Duong province up to 2020 with additional requirements to 2025 has stressed on building Binh Duong to become a modern and civilized urban area, it would become one of developed urban centers of the southern key economic zone, with great spreading and impacts on neighboring provinces and surrounding areas. To fulfill this goal, Binh Duong urban must be built in the direction of new, civilized, modern urban, a green urban; be the leading city in the development process with fast growth and rapid economic restructuring in order to really become the driving force for economic restructuring in the direction of industrialization and modernization in other subregions. To implement well the direction and tasks, Nguyen Thanh Tai, Director of Department of Construction, said that the province had introduced many solutions to develop the urban system, technical infrastructure; at the same time, mobilize resources for effective implementation of local socio-economic development programs and tasks. With the current trend of development, Binh Duong is concentrating on implementing steps to build up a smart city. To meet this requirement, Binh Duong will continue to invest in infrastructure to serve local development needs. Regarding transportation, one of the solutions implemented by the province is the public transport connecting the region and provinces by bus. In the immediate future, it is necessary to build a fast bus route linking the main cities of Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City to serve the needs of all people strata while reducing pollution, traffic jams, costs, travel time of people and businesses.
