A tumultuous year for the province's economy - society in the face of the complicated developments of the pandemic has passed gradually. The challenges for Binh Duong during 2021 are extremely great, especially after more than 4 months of focusing on curbing the pandemic. With the solidarity of the whole political system, the drastic participation of all-level authorities, sectors, mass organizations, people and business community, the province has controlled the pandemic well. The province has also quickly established the “new normal” state with socio-economic stability and positive growth.
Along with anti-pandemic achievements seen and social welfare ensured, the local economic targets set out at the beginning of the year have mostly reached and exceeded…All are the bright picture with high expectations. In order to ensure social welfare, especially in the peak months of the pandemic, in addition to the support policies of the whole country, Binh Duong, with its resources and responsibility, has implemented its very practical support packages. People, especially workers living away from home have quickly benefited from money and materials to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, joining hands with Binh Duong to achieve the “dual” goals.
Despites difficulties, due to the pandemic, the province has still maintained its growth momentum in 2021. A number of key industries and fields with strong impacts on the economy have exceeded the set targets. Noticeably, the province's gross domestic product still increased by 2.79%. The province also absorbed VND72billion in domestic investment, up 8.3%, and more than US$ 2 billion, exceeding the plan by 14.9% while export turnover was more than US$ 31 billion. The province’s trade surplus was estimated at US$ 6 billion...
The spirit of solidarity and consensus has brought the province optimistic results in socio-economic development. This success is a solid foundation, a double belief for Binh Duong towards 2022 and the following years with higher, substantive and sustainable development goals. The achievements of 2021, the nearly 25-year foundation of construction and development are the premise for the local Party Committee, government, people and business community at home and abroad to firmly believe in a better journey.
