Ambience of shopping for the upcoming new school year has become animated across local bookstores. Purchasing power has increased about 20-30% compared to the past month. Nguyen Thi Binh in Phu Cuong ward, said right from the last weekend, she purchased textbooks and learning aids for her daughter.
Market stability
So far, the quantity of textbooks and learning aids is in abundant supply to meet the rising demand. Owing to high competition, many bookstores have launched promotional programs attractively. Bookstores under Fahasa Binh Duong system, Binh Duong Book Company and some agents and bookstores in Thu Dau Mot town and Thuan An town have offered a 5-8% discount program for good students.
Meanwhile, trade centers and supermarkets of Vinatex, Citimart have also built and launched programs of price stability for new school year items.
