On August 25, at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received the Singapore Business Federation’s delegation led by Tan Sock Joo, ASEAN Regional Director, visiting and learning about the investment environment in Binh Duong province.

At the meeting, Mai Hung Dung briefly informed the delegation about the socio-economic development of the province. Currently, Singapore ranks third among 65 countries and territories having investment projects in Binh Duong, with nearly 300 projects and a total investment capital of nearly 6 billion USD. In particular, the very successful model of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks in Binh Duong and many provinces, cities in Vietnam is a clear demonstration of the effective cooperation between Binh Duong province and Sembcorp Group (Singapore).
Mai Hung Dung hoped businesses would invest in Singapore's high-tech, environmentally friendly, less labor-intensive industries creating high added value; financial services, logistics... especially attracting investment in the scientific and technological industrial park based on industry 4.0.
Ms. Tan said that the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Singapore had developed strongly, especially in trade and investment. Following that success, leaders of 23 businesses in fields of manufacturing, retail, information technology of Singapore had a five-day business trip to Binh Duong to connect and explore cooperation opportunities.
The delegation highly appreciated the dynamic development and the open, attractive investment environment of Binh Duong province, and looked forward to investment cooperation in appropriate fields.
