In the morning of August 19, at the Provincial Exhibition and Convention Center, Binh Duong provincial People's Committee held a seminar on "Digital transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Binh Duong province from the perspective of the practitioners". Attending the seminar was Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Ms. Trinh Thi Huong, Deputy Director of Enterprise Development Department under Ministry of Planning and Investment, Mr. Trevor Hublin, Deputy Director of the Department of Governance and Economic Growth under US Agency for International Development (USAID) and representatives of SMEs in the province.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh emphasized: “In order to limit the number of businesses withdrawing from the market, and adapt to the new situation as well as to stabilize production and business under a premise for breakthroughs and improved productivity, in addition to improving the business investment environment, the province promotes programs and policies to support SMEs in the region. In particular, it is to support and promote businesses to access, raise awareness and accelerate the digital transformation. The digital transformation seminar for SMEs hints on the provincial People's Committee offering access to the positive benefits of digital transformation, and at the same time determination of what stages of the transformation their business is in to form a basis for building appropriate digital transformation roadmaps, plans and solutions as a foundation for businesses to develop, improve capacity and competitive advantages, and help to save business operating costs."

Overview of the conference
The workshop introduced the USAID LinkSME project's digital transformation support activities, overview of digital transformation in the enterprises with an insider's perspective, the role of IT and business departments in implementing digital transformation of enterprises, and the application of digital transformation solutions in production and business operations.
