On the afternoon of July 9, the working delegation of the Central Economic Committee, led by Mr. Dau Van Coi, Head of the Social Affairs Department, had a working session with the People's Committee of Vinh Phu Ward, Thuan An City, on the implementation of Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated November 22, 2014, of the Party Central Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in social policy credit (referred to as Directive No. 40-CT/TW) and Conclusion No. 06-KL/TW dated June 10, 2021, of the Party Central Committee on continuing the implementation of Directive No. 40-CT/TW.
At the working session, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phu Ward, said that over nearly 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40-CT/TW and more than 3 years of implementing Conclusion No. 06-KL/TW, the Party Committee and local authorities have always paid attention and prioritized allocating resources to implement social policy credit. As of June 30, 2024, the total outstanding debt reached 66,251 billion VND, with 1,202 customers still having outstanding debts, an increase of 55.518 billion VND compared to 2014.
Vinh Phu Ward is a unit with quality credit activities, no overdue debts, and has been recommended for commendation for its good performance in nearly 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40-CT/TW.
At the working session, Mr. Dau Van Coi emphasized that in the coming time, the Social Policy Bank of Thuan An City, Vinh Phu Ward needs to continue researching and reconsidering the loan recipients in order to upgrade the appropriate loan level to meet the development needs of the locality. In addition, Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to widely disseminate among the Party, civil servants, officials, and the people about preferential credit policies, considering this as one of the important political tasks, in order for Directive No. 40-CT/TW to continue to be implemented in daily life.
