*The province’s education and training sector got additional 9 junior high schools and 2 high school nationally standardized in the 2013 and 2014 academic year. Till now, the whole province has had 34 out of 57 junior high schools and 12 out of 26 high schools meeting national standards. It is expected that the province will strive to get more than 90% of high and junior high schools nationally standardized by 2015.

In Hanoi, braving the chilly weather, thousands of people, being Catholics, Protestants or not, flocked to Hoan Kiem Lake, Saint Joseph Cathedral, Ham Long, Thai Ha, Lang Tam churches, where splendid and colorful decorative lights were sparkling.

The Youth Union of Tan Uyen has just held an exchange with the Youth Union of Loc Ninh district in Binh Phuoc province. During the exchange, the two units looked back on their cooperation program between  2009 and 2012 and implemented a new cooperation program for the 2013 and 2017 period.

Christmas carols echo from churches and twinkling lights illuminate main streets and shopping centres. With Christmas right around the corner, many families in Hanoi are rushing to celebrate the festive season.

Accordingly, pork skin bloating fern-shaped cake of Binh Duong along with other unique dishes including banh canh cha ca from Quy Nhon, cao lau from Hoi An, cha ca La Vong from Ha Noi, goi la from Kon Tum and so on will receive certificates of the Organization at the 27th Vietnamese recorders’ meeting and the seminar themed “Spreading Vietnamese gastronomy and delicacy to the world to be held at HCMC in Feb. 2014.

Accordingly, the district work of children protection and care has reached encouraging results over the past 3 years. Specifically, 100% local children under 1 enjoy vaccination according to the national program on vaccination; malnutrition rate of children under 5 reduces at 4.8%; 98% of primary and secondary pupils enjoy health check-ups; 100% of children under 7 enjoy free health insurance cards; 77% of children is mobilized to go to kindergartens; 100% of children under 7 go to schools; 99% of children graduate primary level; 98% of kids complete secondary level and so on.
