Solutions implemented in a synchronous way to recover socio-economic development

Since early this year, under the drastic instruction of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee together with the efforts by sectors, authorities at all levels, business community and people from all strata, Binh Duong province’s socio-economic situation has reached positive changes amid the complicated development of Covid-10 pandemic.

Economic growth ensured

Since early this year, the province’s socio-economic situation has continued gaining good results, thanks to solutions implemented in a synchronous way under the instruction of the Government and the Resolution of provincial Party Executive Board for 2020. All targets on socio-economic development of the province have reached growth compared to the same period last year. Noticeably, the province’s industrial manufacture has got high growth while import-export activities have remained stable. Most businesses in the province have been proactive in production materials. The province’s investment attraction and State budget collective have still achieved positive results. Thanks to supply of goods ensured plus market prices under scrutiny, the province’s goods market has remained stable amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the province’s economic growth has faced slowdown, due to the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic. Some fields like domestic trade, export-import, tourism have been hit hard by the pandemic. A number of small and medium-sized enterprises in the province have also suspended or narrowed operations, due to disruptions of supply chains, laborers, markets...

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee affirmed that implementing solutions to remove obstacles in production-business is an urgent task in the current period. The province has not only focused on Covid-19 pandemic, but also socio-economic development. Particularly, the province has bent on opportunely realizing support policies for businesses; helping businesses hit hard by the pandemic remove their difficulties in production-business; hastening the progress of construction of key projects; effectively carrying out solutions on finance, credit and tax, thereby facilitating businesses ‘development; maintaining labor-employment tasks and ensuring social welfare; well realizing administrative reform; well implementing inspection, supervision to ensure supply-demand of commodities; supporting businesses in Covid-19 prevention and control…

Removing obstacles in production-business

At a recent online conference with focus on reviewing the local socio-economic performance, security-order amid the Covid-19 outbreak, Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation spoke highly of results done by the province in the local political tasks in Q1, 2020.

He stressed that the Covid-19 outbreak since early this year has made the local socio-economic situation face a variety of challenges. But, with the integral efforts by the local administration, business community and people from all strata, the province has well controlled the pandemic while taking solutions on economic growth. Hence, the province’s socio-ecomomic performance continued getting good results with most targets surging compared to the corresponding period last year.

In Q2, 2020, Mr.Nam asked for sectors, authorities at all levels to recheck growth plans for solutions in line with the local real situation; implement urgent tasks to remove obstacles in production-business, ensure social welfare and combat the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic. Particularly, the province will further improve the local investment climate, enhance competitiveness, attach special importance to administrative reform; mobilize resources and use them effectively; boost public capital disbursement; strengthen propaganda against Covid-19 pandemic via the mass media; well deal with issues on socio-cultural fields, especially education…
