Binh Duong province has focused on Covid-19 prevention and control while ensuring targets on economic growth in 2020. Under the instruction of the province, provincial Industrial Parks(Ips)’Management Board has taken solutions in line with the new context.
In Q1, 2020, province-based Ips absorbed VND419.89billion in domestic capital, down 26% compared to the same period last year or 42% of the year’s plan. They also lured US$165.4million, down 57% against the same period last year or 16.54% of the year’s plan.
Bui Minh Tri, Head of provincial Ips’Management Board said that the Covid-19 outbreak has affected enterprises, especially small and medium-sized ones. To support enterprises, the Prime Minister has issued the Directive No.11/CT-TTg dated March 4, 2020 on urgent tasks and solutions to remove difficulties for production-business, ensuring social welfare and combating Covid-19 pandemic; the Directive No.16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 on realizing urgent tasks for Covid-19 prevention and control. In a recent national online conference on solutions, tasks for 4 major contents to comprehensively combat the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic on social aspects, the Government bent on helping enterprises remove difficulties for production and businesses. This was also highly appreciated by the business community.
Mr.Tri added that under the instructions of the Prime Minister, provincial leaders, along with Covid-19 prevention and control, provincial Ips’Management Board has strengthened solutions, tasks to remove difficulties in order to accompany enterprises. Accordingly, provincial Ips’Management Board coordinated with relevant units to organize meetings with enterprises to help them remove difficulties, promoting growth; worked with investors of infrastructure facilities to support enterprises…
Also according to him, provincial Ips’Management Board has concentrated on quickly dealing with administrative procedures; petitioned for exempting all fees relating to administrative procedures; asked for higher authorities to give support polices for laborers in order to ensure their lives…
