Under a plan just approved, Tan Uyen district will set up the South Tan Uyen urban area of class IV by 2015, including 3 townships and 11 communes, with a total area of 17,503 hectares and a total of population at 220,000 people.
Great expectations of renewal
With its new planning orientations, Tan Uyen district will strive to reach VND12,075 in industrial manufacture value, up nearly VND7.04trillion compared to that of 2010. Industrial manufacture will account for 61.75% of the district’s proportion in economic structure.
Many
traffic works are being upgraded and expanded
For the district’s southern communes, industrial manufacture will be associated with urban and service development. They will absorb hi-tech industries and supportive ones. Whilst, the district’s northern communes will be developed in association with material production zones to serve rural and agricultural industrialization and modernization. Industries to be prioritized for investment herein are the processing of agri-forestry products, food, animal feed, rubber latex; the manufacture of building materials and traditional crafts.
Under the district’s new development orientations, the South Tan Uyen urban area will make synchronous investment in services pertaining to tourism, trading, transport, health, education, banking…to meet the local people’s demands for production and daily life.
The district will also re-build and upgrade some markets; promote the development of hotels, restaurants and supermarkets in communes and townships with high industrial growth such as Uyen Hung, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Thai Hoa, Khanh Binh…between 2012 and 2015.
Such these apart, Tan Uyen district will also attach special importance to promoting tourist services towards a sustainable development for the South Tan Uyen urban area. Particularly, the district-based tourist sites, namely Han Tam Dang, Green Eye, Van Thinh…, will continue to be invested and developed to meet tourists’demand.
Urban space development
Tan Uyen district is urgently carrying out many construction projects to serve the local demand for urban space development. According to statistics, the whole district is now home to 28 key projects on infrastructure at the local sustainable development demand.
So far, the overall plan to build the South Tan Uyen urban area has been approved by provincial People’s Committee. Many overall plans to build Cong Xanh, Tan Thanh townships and some other urban areas have also been mapped out and they will be perfected in the shortest time.
The district has also approved the detailed plans of five residential and resettlement estates in communes of Tan Hiep, Khanh Binh, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Thuong Tan…Reportedly, all 18 residential and commercial housing areas invested by private enterprises have been implemented in accordance with detailed plans.
